Welcome to my online portfolio. Graphic design excites me due to the great combination of meeting the clients needs and creating stimulating design that could be potentially seen and enjoyed by millions of people. Whether it is for posters, web pages, literature or advertisements.
I have uploaded a variety of different pieces demonstrating a versatile set of skills, of which I like to use in my graphic design. I try to encoporate as many traditional techniques as I can in conjunction with my digital work. All of the vector illustration I use in my pieces are hand drawn using the pen tool in Adobe Illustrator. I really enjoy drawing, especially using buildings and natural forms as the subjects of my recent work. It is this interest that draws me to the works of artists and architects, such Antonio Gaudi who's designs are based around natural form.
I wish to study this programme as I would like to further my understanding of graphic design and learn how to meld image and type, modern and traditional together to create work that is both insteresting and eye catching. Typography is a keen interest of mine and I wish to learn how to make better use of it more effectivley in my own work. I find it exciting to think my work could be seen by millions of people giving them something thought provoking, as well as information, in a creative and original way.
